The origins of Orphans Press, as commercial printers in Herefordshire, date back to 1873 and the acquisition by Leominster's orphanage of a printing press to both generate income and provide a trade for some of the orphans.
130 plus years on we would like to think the business has continued through a similar inclination to forward thinking.
Perhaps it helps that for much of our history we have been family owned retaining many core values inherent in the precise manual print setting methods of yesteryear.
In recent years we have recognised that commercial printing is now just one of a spectrum of communication tools so we have chosen to broaden our business base from ‘commercial litho printers' to embrace related design, digital printing and internet services. This offers real benefits to our customers who themselves are managing their communications across diverse media.
The business employs 20 staff with a mix of seasoned experience and bright young minds we would not want to swap.
With our recent move to new premises we are optimistic that the business is well positioned to offer great commercial printing and website services to all our customers.
