Our Commitment to Green Papers and FSC certification

As a printing company we are concerned to do our best to provide a service which demonstrates strong environmental practices. The printing industry has made great strides in recent years and so, we feel, has Orphans Press (read about our green commitments).

One of the most important envrionmental responsibilities for any printer is paper. Most of our customers are keen to use paper which is either recycled or from sustainable forests. To confirm our commitment to this end we are proud to have achieved FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) Certification. The FSC scheme 'provides assurance that paper-based products are manufactured from material sourced from forests certified according to stringent environmental, social and economical standards, controlled wood sources and/or FSC recycled fibre and enables consumers to trace the paper product from its roots'. The 'Chain of Custody' provides stringent traceability throughout the supply chain so you know the paper we use adheres to the FSC standards.

After stringent examination we were confirmed as FSC accredited printers in April 2009 (Licence No. TT-COC-003020). This means as a company we can now carry the FSC certification logo on any materials we print for our customers.
