A Time to Remember - Self Published Book

This is a lovely example of how if you think there is a 'book in me' with a little determination you can realise your dream. Mr Hughes recalls his childhood in rural Herefordshire between the 1920's and 40's. His interesting story is interspersed with illustrations by the immensely talented artist Arthur Davis, a good friend of Orphans, and a selection of pictures.

We set the book from mainly handwritten text supplied by Mr Hughes. With Arthur's superb cover illustration we produced a striking book to draw the eye. Mr Hughes quite rightly wanted the book just so - we enjoyed helping him achieve just that.

A few words from Mr Hughes. "I wanted to find a printer and publisher who would produce a book exactly as I wanted to record it. I was grateful to Leta Harris at Orphans for setting the book so accurately from my suspect handwriting! The team at Orphans gave me constructive advice all the way through and I actually found the experience enjoyable and largely stress-free. The result is a book that my family and I are proud of and achieved at a very reasonable cost. If you are thinking of producing a book I would commend you to consider Orphans Press."
