Postcard Printing

We print an interesting mix of postcards.

Some are 'conventional' cards with a picture of a nice landscape or building as a memento of a visit.

Others use a postcard format for promotional purposes. The cards perhaps display a product or new range picture or promote an event. These are often used as 'self mailers' (they are posted without an envelope). Many postcard jobs lend themselves to printing and addressing (variable data personalisation) in one pass on the Indigo digital press.

Cards are most frequently printed on cast coated stock (around 300gsm) with four colour printing on the front and black only on the reverse. Where both sides need to be in 4 colours typical stock would be 350gsm silk or gloss.

For moderate printing runs (say 500 to 5,000) it is always worth 'ganging up' postcards so we print perhaps 4 or 8 different designs at one time to save money on plates.
