Getting Your Website Off The Ground
Behind all our sites is the brief of our customers so every project begins with meetings to clarify the objectives of the site. This is very much a shared process where you outline your objectives for the site and we input ideas derived from our experience of the web. To hit the mark we need to grasp your vision and understand your customers.
We try to understand the 'tone' of the site you have in mind. Is it contemporary or classical? Is there key functionality within the site which
has to hit the visitor immediately? Is a prominent search engine position with the likes of Google or Yahoo an important objective?
As well as the more obvious details we'll also try to get a good idea of how you'd like the website to work.
- Should the site be self-updateable?
- Is there any database driven data?
- Are there any complex forms?
- Would it benefit from interactive/animated elements?
We produce a site specification which outlines our understanding of the brief, the structure of the site and summarises our proposed approach (and of course costs). After your approval a design will be produced and then the project will be passed onto our team of developers for the all important build.
