Ongoing Support

Harnessing the potential of the internet needs a dynamic approach to your site. Producing your website is just the start of our responsibilities so we offer services that cover your ongoing maintainance needs.

We have our own dedicated Apache servers to host websites but we are also happy to develop sites for use with your own hosting arrangements provding the server meets the basic requirements for running PHP scripts and a MySQL database.

Our servers are well maintained and monitored very closely. We have an excellent reliability track record to date but everything is still frequently backed just in case of an unforeseen failure.

Support Options

Our annual hosting charge includes a limited support time to cover help with such things as email setup and small text amends on websites. Any larger jobs that come after the website has 'gone live' can be charged in one of two ways:

• A per-request charge which will be invoiced at our usual hourly rate for small amendments, or a quoted fixed fee for larger jobs.
• A modest monthly fee that will cover foreseeable changes that you'll need to be carried out frequently. This fee will be dependant on the amount of work expected and is periodically reassesed.

After Launch

Once a website has 'gone live' the client is not forgotten about. We appreciate that after its been used for a short while you may want a few features tweaked and we will see to those as you raise them with us.

We also know that the administration pages that drive complex websites can be a little daunting at times, so if you ever need a little guidance we are always available to answer quick questions. For more extensive training we would suggest a visit or we can produce a technical document that you can keep for constant reference, and share with other system users.

Domain Names

We can purchase domains on clients' behalf and take care of all the complex configuration options. In this case we'll also renew your domains as required to make sure they are never complications in this regard.

If you choose to manage your own domains we'll help as much as we can when configuring them to 'point to' your web new website.

Email addresses

If you have chosen to host your website on one of our dedicated servers we will setup any e-mail accounts you require and help you configure mail collection on your own computer.

Ours servers run anti-spam and anti-virus checks on every incoming email that passes through them.

3rd Party Hosting

If you choose to arrange your own hosting we cannot offer the same level of support as with our own package, but we will be on hand to help you with domain and e-mail configuration as much as we can given the limited server access we'll have.

Future Developments

Whether you wish to add to your new website or completely revamp it after a few years, we are always happy to have a sit down and reasess your requirements. As the original site developers we will usually be able to modify your website at a fraction of the cost of getting someone new to look at it.
