There are many off-the-shelf content management systems we could use to power our websites. We decided on a different solution, to develop our own. The investment we made and continue to make has proven to be a strong foundation for our sites. Unlike many alternative systems we present you with just the CMS functionality you use; so if you have a Gallery feature you see a Gallery tab, if you don’t, you don’t. Keeping things uncluttered helps keep the CMS simple.

At the outset of your project we agree the level of CMS control you need; it may be just pockets of the site, such as News, or it may be more comprehensive including header images and backgrounds. We then quote and build your site around this CMS architecture. Often we need to adapt the CMS slightly to mould more comfortably with the way your business runs; our developers built the system so its no problem to tailor it to your needs, even down the road after your website has gone live.

The CMS can be very simple to suit small sites. It can be scaled to manage more complex requirements. For example, customers with several sites and brand identities may value our Multi Site CMS, one login gives you facility to manage all your sites from one place. Or if you operate across different countries our multi language CMS provides a single place from which to set up new languages for your site, perhaps accessed from country specific domains. Orphans CMS even powers a substantial online software system where our customer can ‘switch’ on new e-commerce websites for their customers who in turn can provide their customers with secure login to their sites – sounds complex but typically Orphans CMS makes management easy.
