Drupal Web Developer

We are growing our web team and have an opportunity for a developer who is enthusiastic to build feature rich bespoke websites. Orphans operates from two sites, in Leominster and Skylon, Hereford. Most of the team works for one of the offices but we are comfortable with flexi working including home working having the dominant share.

This role calls for a deep level of knowledge of PHP and modern best practices for front end web technologies. Our agency focuses on bespoke solutions and you will be developing functionality within Drupal, including building integrations into external services.. Significant prior experience is essential. We also work with other platforms so experience ooCommerce and/or Laravel would be advantageous but is not necessary for this role.

Ideally candidates should have a history of high-end websites and web apps and will have experience of linking into other software through custom links or web APIs. Our developers have a close working relationship with our designers and customers throughout each project's lifespan so the ability to scope requirements, operate as part of a team, and communicate ideas clearly is essential.

An ideal candidate will be eager to expand their knowledge of the industry so they can grow with the business and take a lead on increasingly more complex projects. You will be given lots of opportunities (and the necessary support) to learn new skills on the job and have access to any reading or online training you may find useful.

The salary levels will be commensurate to a mid weight developer.

  • PHP (inc. Drupal, at least intermediate level)

  • CSS & HTML
  • Programming to handle large datasets
  • An eye for visual accuracy
  • Good communication
